About Earth Resources
Without your help, full-scale curbside recycling service will disappear in the City of Mobile. As you may know, locally owned and operated Earth Resources, LLC has been loyally serving the Mobile area by picking up full-scale recyclable items including glass, plastic, aluminum, and steel from residential and commercial curbsides for nearly 15 years. Earth Resources began recycling services before recycling was “in.” Now recycling is in and is absolutely crucial to the welfare of our environment and the City of Mobile. Because of significant financial difficulties, Earth Resources, LLC will be closing its doors very soon! As the only provider in Mobile, full-scale curbside recycling service will die along with it, and the City of Mobile will be left only with its sponsored paper-recycling program. We as Mobilians cannot afford to lose this valuable service without a fight!!!Three of us, Jimbo Yance, Tucker Yance, and Richard Inge have decided to face this fight and to do everything we can to save this valuable service before it is abandoned. We need your help! We are having to act very quickly to do it, but we are confident we can turn this program around. However, one thing is very clear-increased participation from Mobile residents like you is CRITICAL to the success of the program. The three of us have formed a new company "Earth Resources, a GreenWise Company, LLC" to shoulder the burden and expense of purchasing a significant number of new recycle bins. We have agreed to perform several “bin drops” in area neighborhoods in an effort to increase participation. If we get significant increases in participation, our new company will take over all recycling routes of Earth Resources and continue to provide loyal and dependable recycling services to current and new Earth Resources customers. If we do not get significant increases in participation, we will not move forward with the program, and full-scale curbside recycling in Mobile will disappear.
If you wish to participate, and have not yet received a bin at your curb through one of our bin drops, simply fill out the service/billing information on this website or send us an email at earthresources@att.net. or simply call us at 666-4482. The cost of the program is $18 per month. This is a reduction from the normal $20 fee, and we are committed to reduce it even further as the participation level increases. Hopefully, one day the city will pay for it. Please notice that for an additional $2 card processing fee, we are offering automatic credit card debit every month to further cut down on paper and relieve you of the burden of writing another monthly check. Please call or email us if you wish to pay by card.
If you live outside the city limits, please send us your service/billing information anyway. We are working very hard to establish regular service in the entire city as well as all surrounding areas. We may be able to service you right away, depending on your location and the participation interest in your area but if not, we will let you know immediately, and we ask for your patience as we try to save the program and grow into all surrounding areas. With Warmest Regards We Remain,
Very Truly Yours,
Jimbo Yance
